“I have said no to Coke [Studio] for this year and have decided to instead focus on my own projects for now,” says Atif Aslam.
The Pakistani based singer Atif Aslam has instantly achieved fame and popularity for his enchanting voice. He has been a stable in the Coke Studio over the years. Many producers, members, house bands, guest singers all appeared and left then, but Atif Aslam is one and only that the entire show remained to bank on his performance. Whereas, after producing, ‘Tajdar-e-Haram’ one of the most hit songs in the history of Coke Studio, Atif has decided not to appear again in the Coke Studio in season 9.

While talking to The Express Tribune, the well renowned singer Atif Aslam who has produced hit smash songs exposed and confirmed that news of not appearing in any song of the Coke Studio this year. He allotted to take a break from this world famous music show this time and headed to complete his ongoing projects.
Perhaps, this news may come as a surprise to his fans but it has exposed that he is not going to appear back-to-back in this show. He further explained, “In all, I did three songs during the eighth season. Now I just want to see the response Coke Studio gets this year.”
Among these three smash hits, one was a tribute to Qawwali icons as the Sabri brothers, ‘Tajdar-e-Haram’ who has so far earned the views over 18.6 million on You Tube. He mentioned, “Tajdar-e-Haram became immensely popular with listeners last year. I am looking forward to what they have on offer in the coming season.”

In season 9 of Coke Studio, Atif will not present and this will come as a slow down for this show. However, the cynics have their own arguments to make anything bad. But he has already produced 12 tracks for this show with the collaboration of Qayaas, Gul Panra, Mai Dhai and Riaz Ali Khan. As being a regular artist in the live shows, Atif claimed that he has diverse plans of running towards a new studio album. Jal Pari singer has pointed out, “I will continue with my live shows but apart from that, I am also aiming to start work on my next album.
In spite of having phenomenal achievement on the music streaming thresholds including Gaana and Saavan, Atif is geared to sign up with Patistani based streaming website, Patari. He explained the cause of delay, he said, “I’m waiting for them to offer me a better deal because they would be making money off me later on.” To confirm this comment, the founder of Patari, Khalid Bajwa stated, “We have some of his songs through other record labels but we’re trying to get his entire collection on our portal.”
